SSO SAML on mobile app

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) authentication is available for mobile devices now! Manage multiple accounts of your employees in one place the same way you do it in the web app. This method increases security and speeds up the log-in process.

Just a reminder: Calamari integrates with OKTA, OneLogin, and many other similar providers.

Menu improvements

Our menu is changing for you! 🎉🎉🎉

We've introduced visual changes in our top and left menus. Thanks to them, you get more space in the workspace, which allows you to see all the information on one screen.

We've decided to change our menu structure to optimize your daily work with Calamari. We took the bookmarks from the top menu and moved them to the left one as a drop-down list. We've also removed the gray filter bar and moved the search box to the right corner of the top menu so it's in the same place on every screen in the app. This way, we have increased the working area on the Approvals, Applications, and Documents screens.

New entitlement view

After researching on improving the usability of our app, we've decided to refresh the entitlement view on the Calamari web application and add new features that will make requesting leave days easier. 🎉🎉🎉

From now on, you can group absence types, check their descriptions, check the colors of absence types, see the list of all restrictions, and the number of leave days that will expire soon. With those changes, using the entitlement view will be more useful than ever!

Improved visibility with grouping makes it easier to find the needed information quickly. You can also add a specific color to every type of absence to help your employees intuitively navigate them.

eRecruiter integration

We've decided to integrate Calamari with the eRecruiter recruitment system to improve the onboarding process of new employees. With the active integration, you can quickly transfer data about the newly hired employee from eRecruiter to Calamari after deciding on hiring someone. It's a great way to speed up the onboarding process and save time creating new employee profiles in Calamari.

To turn on the integration, you have to:

  1. Go to the eRecruiter, find Calamari integration, and turn it on.
  2. Copy the Marketplace key
  3. Turn on the integration in Calamari -> Integrations -> eRecruiter and paste the key

All reports in one place

With a combined menu, Calamari reports are changing too! From now on you can find all the employees' reports about their absences and attendance in one place. On the new intuitive view you can find two sections: one for Leave reports and one for Attendance reports. You can now click less to make the work done!

ALL THE INFORMATION ON HAND

The new view makes it easier to manage employees both for HR specialists and managers. They can easily and quickly check all the necessary information about the given employee or team and create the reports from the same place. That makes using Calamari reports faster and saves your employees time so they can do more and be less tired.

This new change is connected to the unified menu and to the upcoming new Calamari module that will be focused on employees data and information.To simplify checking those information, we’ve created the place where all of them can be accessed in a very convenient way.

Calamari People gets new fields! 🙋‍♀️🙋

From now on you can add as many additional field as you need to write down all the important information about your employees.

You can add two kinds of fields:

  • text fields,
  • date fields.

To add a custom field, go to the Configuration and select Custom Fields in HR section.

All new fields are visible to administrators only.

From now on, you can recommend Calamari by generating your unique link. Every company that subscribes to Calamari using your link will additionally receive 1 month of free use!

How does it work?

  1. Click the present icon and generate your link.
  2. Share your link with a business partner
  3. Your business partner can now subscribe to Calamari with additional free subscription time.

Our Core HR module is getting more features! Today we’ve added some new fields in the People profile 🙋‍♀️🙋.

If you have your Core HR subscription, you will now be able to add the information about the employee:

  • children,
  • second name,
  • t-shirt size (XS to XXL),
  • B2B contractor data (company name, address, etc.),
  • bank account number

All new fields are visible to administrators only.

Please note:

Adding the information about kids in the old interface won't transfer it to the new one. To have the data in the new view, you need to add them directly to People Directory.

Include archived employees in reports

We’ve added the option to include archived employees in the Attendance report in the Time Off module. You can prepare and export reports for all achieved users in one click. 🎉🎉🎉

From now on, you can prepare reports faster and easier by deciding if you want to include archived employees in your reports.
